FROM FASHION BUYER
Owner Bronagh first opened the doors of Bow and Pearl in 2010, after working in the fashion industry for many years.
After completing a Masters in Fashion Marketing, she knew she was on the right career path and spent a while travelling and working in fashion wholesale. She then opened her own vintage stall on Cow’s Lane, before moving on to work for a Danish clothing company.
It was working here that allowed Bronagh to identify a gap in the market for the same affordable brands here in Ireland, inspiring her to open Bow and Pearl.
CREATING A STORE EXPERIENCE
After 7 years in Ranelagh, we relocated to the Swan Centre in Rathmines – an up and coming and eclectic area, which perfectly matches the vibe of B&P! Bow and Pearl has been located in Rathmines since 2017 and we are proud to be fully embedded in the community – we love to see all our regulars, plus all the new faces each day!
Bronagh was inspired by the Danish ideal of creating an experience within a store. It is not just about the product you are buying, but the overall experience – the interior design, the product displays, and of course the chats we have with all our customers in-store!
Along with a beautifully designed interior, Bow and Pearl offers customers a carefully curated range of on-trend fashion, timeless jewellery, and quirky homewares. Over the years, Bronagh has focused on sourcing affordable pieces without sacrificing quality, as well as providing products that can’t be found elsewhere in Ireland.
BOW BABY IS BORN
After having her daughter, Bronagh struggled to find quality driven baby clothes and accessories in tonal colours at affordable prices, causing her to source products which she began selling in Bow and Pearl. In December 2020, after 11 years in business, Bronagh opened a sister store to Bow and Pearl – Bow Baby – which sells stunning high-quality baby clothes, toys and accessories.
While lockdown forced both shops to close just a week after the opening of Bow Baby, the closures allowed us to focus on growing online and we now have a substantial online presence, both through our website and on various social media platforms.
SUSTAINABILITY
We care about our planet and everything that lives on it, which is why we’re taking steps to improve the way we do things across all areas of Bow & Pearl.
Over the last few years we have reassessed our brands and are now working more closely with brands that are serious about sustainability.
Our packaging is now free from plastic and we will continue to make various changes throughout the company. We want you to buy pieces that will stand the test of time.
